I want to delete my WhatsApp account, and then reactivate it back with the same number. I just want to know if I do this, will I have to pay a fee? Will it charge from my balance?

Answer by Aiden McLeod

No. You can deactivate and reactivate your WhatsApp account without the need to pay a fee. This can be done free of charge and for as many times as you like. However, if you deactivate your account, and you reactivate it after the free trial period expires, you will need to pay a fee of $0.99.

I am using Windows 7 32 bit. I have used Bluestack's Whatsapp for 1 month in my PC. I couldn't change or send any pictures. So after 1 month ,I took a backup of the Data.fs file alone and re-installed the Bluestacks. After installation I replaced the new file with my old file. Now my contacts and chat history are fine, but I can't play or download or view any audio, video, image files. It shows "Cannot download because No SD card is available. Please insert your SD card or unmount it as a disk drive and try again." I want the contacts and chat history to remain and all type of files working in my whatsapp itself. Is there any way to fix this?

You can use WinImage to access the content of the Data.FS file. Download the application and install it, then use it to locate and open the FS file. You will have the possibility to extract the contents of the virtual SD card.

You can install WhatsApp in your PC via Bluestacks, an Android emulator, but you will need a phone nearby to properly register the application. Install Bluestacks then use the built-in search to look for WhatsApp. Start the application and input your number to receive the confirmation code.

The WhatsApp version for PCs has been released for quite some time. You will have to use the link posted below in order to save the installation package.

Launch and follow the installation instructions then use the data on the screen to pair the phone with the software.

Note: The phone needs to be connected to Internet at all times.

My question is about the way Whatsapp saves the conversation in the time we chat. If I close Whatsapp and open it, my last conversations and messages that are not yet backed up, appear. Even if I send a letter (one character) and close the application and then open it, I will find this letter. Where does Whatsapp save these conversations? I'm not talking about the DB backups.

P
Answer by Pete Clapp

If you're talking about the unofficial PC version of Whatsapp (application that has been discontinued) the conversations are saved in (C:) > Users > Your computer name > AppData > Roaming > Whatsapp folder. If you're referring to the Android utility, the messages and conversations are saved in the WhatsApp folder from your SD card or phone memory. They are saved as a msgstore.db.crypt7 file.

WhatsApp can be downloaded from its official website but you will need to make sure that you have a compatible phone to be able to install it. If you want to install it in Windows/Mac, there is Bluestacks that can be used for this purpose. Bluestacks is a virtual emulator capable of running Android very nice.

I want to install WhatsApp on my Samsung GT-C6712 mobile but it's not an Android phone. I would like to know if it's possible to install WhatsApp in this phone?

A
Answer by Alex Urbach

This is a proprietary software. It means that the only applications available are through the app store from within the phone's app list or released especially for this type of phone. WhatsApp is not compatible with this phone and this is the reason that you can't install it.
